Questions you can ask yourself
Your interest in discovering whether or not religious life is for you does not mean that you will be making a lifetime commitment. It will help you to talk to our Brothers and eventually experience our life for yourself. You will also want to reflect on some core questions:
How am I experiencing the call to be of service to God?
What is my relationship now to God and to the Church?
What other responsibilities or obligations do I presently have?
What gifts and skills do I have to offer?
Do I have the capacity to minister to others?
Do I have the capacity to live in community and be challenged to
growth by community life?
Will I be able to live the vows of celibacy, poverty and obedience as signs of prophetic witness?
For help in exploring these questions, men can turn to the South-West Provinces Vocation Director. Some of the answers may not unfold until you actually try to live as a member of a religious community, but you will become aware of your options and will be guided in the process of admission to the Congregation of Holy Cross.
