What do we do?

Founded to preach the Gospel and to teach, Holy Cross Brothers began by working in small, rural schools throughout France — filling an acute need after the end of the Revolution. The Brothers later brought hope to people in Algeria, Bengal (India), Canada, and on the North American frontier.

The South-West Province grew out of the same response. Maintaining schools and missions principally in California, Louisiana, Texas, and Brazil, Brothers from our Province also work beyond this area, sometimes in cooperation with Brothers from the Eastern or Midwestern Provinces.
